Lions tail is native to South Africa, where local tribespeople have traditionally applied parts of this plant to snake bites as well as using it for stomach issues, epilepsy, bronchial problems and many more ailments. It has been researched for its anticonvulsant activity, suggesting future research into its medicinal value.
