(Needle stonecrop; Fo jia cao) Attractive low carpeting succulent from East Asia where it grows on grassy slopes. In traditional Chinese medicine the whole plant is used to clear heat and to detoxify, and is widely used for pancreatic cancer. The juice of the leaves is used to stop bleeding. The Tujia people of central China use the herb for hepatitis, dysentery, herpes zoster, and swelling. Excellent drought tolerant groundcover for the garden.
