My society is interested buy dry pyrethrum flowers and pyrethrum extract. We are interested to know the price of mentioned products.

In 1988, I grew a special cultivar of pyrethrum from Africa, high in the pyrethrins in several locations in Oregon. Total cultivations were in excess of 52 acres. At that time there were only two primary buyers in North America, with more than 50 primary retail users. They were Safer Corp (Victoria, BC) and Johnson & Johnson (NJ-based).

Both then made extracts for higher cottage industry sales. That means very little flower meal was available even back then, and if available, mostly came from a regional small farm effort. All other major productions were made into a spray for higher-priced sales. There are still several others producing flower meal for these two primary buyers.

At the time of production in 1988, prices for a 2% pyrethrins meal was around $4.00/lb. I have no idea how the markets have changed since my production schedules. I could help set up a small farm effort as an outside consultant, but am not aware of other inventories at this time.
