Senstivity to Cilantro

I bought some cilantro for use in a salad, just to dress it up. Both my partner and I belched it up and had upset stomachs after I used it. Did I use too much? (I don’t think so.) Was I supposed to cook it before using? Just what is cilantro good for and how do you use it?

You may have a sensitivity to this herb. Cilantro may be used fresh (like in your salad) or cooked...added at the end of the cooking. For cooking uses, please refer to Question (previously answered Nov. 20/03), or visit www.yvonnetremblay.com and look under Thyme in the Kitchen in the Herb Directory for cooking usage of most culinary herbs.
