Do you have a herb for Cystitis?

Cystitis, bladder inflammation, can be helped by drinking plenty of fluids (not coffee or black tea) to reduce the irritating effect, and herbal teas of corn silk to soothe the mucous membranes, marshmallow root to provide a mucous coating to relieve the burning feeling and Yarrow, a urinary antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and gentle relaxant.

Rosemary Gladstar, in "Herbal Healing for Women" (available at Richters) suggests several glasses of unsweetened cranberry juice a day, avoidance of sugar, which feeds the bacteria in the bladder which causes infection, up to 2000 milligrams of vitamin C a day, and a tea made of 1 part nettle, 1 part dandelion greens, 1 part pipsissewa, 2 parts corn silk and 2 parts uva ursi (Bearberry leaves). To make the tea, take 1 teaspoon of the mixed, dried herbs to a cup of boiling water, and steep in a covered ceramic pot or mug for 15 minutes. Drink one quarter of a cup every half hour.
