I am looking for herbs that will help with lowering cholesterol. Any ideas or suggestions? I am on a low cholesterol diet and am looking for other ways to help reduce it.

Reducing weight by reducing the amount of saturated fats in your diet and daily exercise are the most effective ways of reducing cholesterol. Consistent use of herbal remedies will assist the diet and exercise routine. One of the most effective herbs for lowering cholesterol is garlic. This can be taken raw with meals, or as a capsule. Ginger, Cayenne and Turmeric are cholesterol lowering and improve blood circulation, so eating a curry with these herbs three times a week would be helpful. A tea made from simmering one teaspoon of Fenugreek seeds per cup of water for 30 minutes helps to lower blood cholesterol.
