Is there a herb that can promote breathing and circulation better? To increase oxygen in your body? Also to give extra iron.

Investigations by your health practitioner should be done to determine the cause of breathing and circulation difficulties.

In general, a tea of Lime or Linden Flowers (Tilia europa or cordata), Motherwort, Nettles and Hawthorn will improve circulation, which increases the oxygen delivery to body parts, and calm nerves to allow easier breathing. Nettles are high in iron. Lobelia, especially effective when rubbed into the chest, dilates the bronchial tubes to help breathing. Lobelia should not be used in pregnancy or a weak heart.

Siegfried Gursche, in "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing" (Alive Publishers, Canada, (800) 663-6580 or Natural Life Publishing Inc., U.S. (800) 663-6513), suggests the following tea for breathing problems: 2 tablespoons Iceland Moss, 2 tablespoons violets, 1 tablespoon Licorice, 1 tablespoon Marshmallow root. Place 2 teaspoons of mixture into 1 cup of cold water. Let stand overnight, strain and warm before drinking.

Iceland Moss is an expectorant that clears catarrh from the respiratory system. Violets are mildly antiseptic, pain killing and a soothing expectorant. Licorice is antiviral, anti-inflammatory and a soothing expectorant, used in respiratory problems. Marshmallow root is soothing and protecting of respiratory tissue.
