Acne during the Menstrual Cycle

I want to know if there any herbs that I can take for my acne? I’m taking accutane for my skin now --sometimes it looks like it’s getting better, and other days like now, it looks like it gets worse. I’m tired of taking all these pills, I’m more interested in healing my skin wholistically.

My acne is on the sides of my face and it has caused dark blemishes to form. The only time I actually get pimples is when I have my period.

A healthy skin diet, the hormone balancing herb Chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus) and herbal support for organs of elimination other than the skin (kidneys and bowel) may be useful. For more information on these approaches, please see to our website at http://www.richters.com, and then go to the "Q&A". choose "Search Richters Q and A" then enter the word "skin" for the search. Another entry in the "Medicinal Herbs" section of the Q&A that may be helpful is "Sebaceous Cysts with the Menstrual Cycle".
