I am 29 years old, I am a male and my problem is that I have no facial hair except for a goatee. I have been trying to grow a full beard for the past 9 or ten years without any success at all. Is there anything I could use such as oils for the hair or anything? One of my friends suggested that I use Tricopherous, which is an oil for the hair by Alex Barry and Lanman & Kemp-Barclay & Co. From Westwood, N.J. But my friend also told me that I had to mix this oil with another oil which is called "Neujol" which is also another oil for the hair but this last one I cannot find anywhere. Could you please tell me If by mixing this two oils I could finally get a positive result? If so, where could I find this last oil called "Neujol"? I live In Denver, Colorado.

One last question if you don’t mind me asking: if you don’t think these two different oils are going to give me positive results, could you please help me and tell me what oils or herbs I should use? I am really going to appreciate this the rest of my life.

According to Peter Panagotacos, M.D., on his web page http://www.hairdoc.com/histr.htm, tricopherous is a "snake oil" sold in the 1800s for hair growth, containing only water, alcohol and food colouring. I don’t know the oil "neujol".

I recommend using the diet and herbal recommendations in other answers on our website at http://www.richters.com, in the Q&A section, particularly the answer for "Herbs for Healthy Hair".
