I read one of your answers for the causes of warts and the above was listed. What is this and how can it be prevented?

The papilloma virus is a family of viruses, some of which cause warts. Vaccinations can trigger an outbreak of warts. Most herbalists and Naturopathic doctors treat warts as an internal problem of either blood impurities or lowered immunity. Research shows that people with lowered immunity are more susceptible to warts. Prevention includes a healthy, whole food diet, high in vitamins and minerals. The diet would include good quality protein such as fish, whole grains, nuts, seeds and lots of fruit and vegetables. It would exclude junk food, processed food and nutrient-poor refined grains and sugar. Avoid smoking because it depletes the immune system.

Genital warts, caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, are sexually transmitted. Both partners, because of the potential seriousness of genital warts, must see a medical practitioner. Avoidance procedures include: practising safe sex; seeking immediate treatment in cases of vaginal discharge or infection, because these can encourage the development of warts; improving the diet and the immune system, as noted above, to help ward off the virus.
