My mind is so cluttered I can’t even concentrate on reading. I have daily panic attacks. I have 5 children. That alone adds a lot of regular daily stress. Is there anything out there that can help me feel normal and function normally again? Or is this something that I have to deal with for the rest of my life? I deal with heavy depression also. Is there an herb that can help me that I can take with an over the counter medicine for my acid reflux?

You will need someone to help you, like a good friend or a therapist, to find the answers to your problem. There are many factors that contribute to depression and panic attacks. A qualified medical or clinical herbalist can do a complete health assessment to determine whether you need herbs to support your hormonal system, nervous system, digestive system, your liver, or your blood circulation. The herbalist can also advise on diet and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your problem. A counselor can help you to determine psychological or spiritual factors, and help you to incorporate changes into your life to promote emotional stability.

Herbs that can help to reduce tension include chamomile, valerian, passion flower, linden flower and motherwort. These herbs do not interfere with acid reflux medication. You should be able to find a combination of these herbs in a "stress reduction" type of tea at a health food store. This relaxing tea can help to strengthen you while you explore the changes that may be required to return your health. Daily physical exercise, like walking or dancing or any other physical exercise that you enjoy, are very important in promoting emotional health.
