I am writing to find out if, in your research, you have identified a herb in Cameroon for penis enlargment. If yes, please, give me the name and particular region where it is found.

You are probably referring to Yohimbe (Pausinystalia yohimbe), grown in Cameroon, West Africa. This aphrodisiac herb is native to the forested areas of West Africa, especially in Cameroon, Zaire and Gabon. The bark has been used safely for sexual enhancement in West Africa for hundreds of years. Today, because of its popularity, forests are depleted of the tree and many "yohimbe" products sold do not actually contain yohimbe.

One of the active constituents of Yohimbe is the alkaloid yohimbine hydrochloride. The drug yohimbine is prescribed and sold for its sexual enhancement effects.

The herb yohimbe is illegal in Canada and some other countries, because of possible serious side effects. The side effects may be a result of high doses of the herb or of the extracted alkaloid yohimbine. The side effects identified are: It may cause stimulation of the nervous system, resulting in anxiety, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, flushing, hallucinations and/or headache. The herb should not be taken by persons with high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, a history of mental disturbance or on MAO inhibitor anti-depressants. High dosages can cause blood vessel damage.
