How safe is it to use this product? Are there any side effects?

Cordyceps sinensis HEAA (hybrid) is classified by FDA as a food, not a drug. And, it is further classified as GRAD (generally recognized as safe) = no toxins, no toxicity. The primary "side effects" is an increase in energy, as oxygen is released on a cellular level.

Over eating it or taking too much too soon can cause loose bowl and gas. That can be eliminated by eating ginger, celery, or even papaya -- enzymes to digest the more exotic proteins. It takes time for your body to adapt to these proteins, so most begin with 1 gm per day. If you take it at night, there is a possibility of not being able to sleep.

On my website, under "EVENTS", there a number of streamed radio interviews, where I discuss the use of this special mushroom. Go to

George Halpren’s new book "Healing Mushrooms" is probably the best written on the subject. That book is available from OAK.
