I have kind of a chronic bronchitis problem. I have a lot of congestion that just sits at the top of my throat/chest. I always have it to a certain degree but sometimes I end up getting an infection and then it takes me a very long time to get over it. What herbal help could I get?

However, to add to this, if it is a chronic problem, then seriously consider your digestive health a being the root of the problem. Lung tissue is sensitive to a sympathetic referral from the digestive system as it is comprised of the same embryonic tissue. I have found that elecampane root taken as a tincture/fluid extract is an excellent herb that not only is a lung tonic but also is excellent for the digestive system by helping to restore good digestive function and aiding the good bacteria that is so important for good digestive health. It is not a remedy that you will feel the effects right away, rather it takes some time and is slow but steady with its healing. Furthermore, you might need to rule out any food sensitivities or the effects of stress as being the underlying issue for digestive problems. Drinking mullein and thyme tea on a daily basis will help with the symptoms of this underlying issue until the digestive system gets turned around.

The elecampane fluid extract is available form Richters at:
