I’m needing some information for my father. He has been watching a program with a guy telling ways that all the herbs and extracts can help a person. He has congestive heart failure and the person that he has been listening to on televison said that, I think if he has the name right, that "astratus" is good to take for congestive heart failure. I’ve been looking online for him and can’t find what I’m looking for so I’m hoping you can help.

I believe the herb your father was referring to was astragalus. Although not a specific for congested heart failure, astragalus is a diuretic and it can help with that particular symptom. Herbs such as lily of the valley and hawthorn are my herbs of choice for this condition. Nutrients such as essential fatty acids, potassium, magnesium and B vitamins are essential for good heart function. However, I would encourage you to seek out a registered herbalist to help you with this condition.

Also he is wanting to know what grapeseed extract is good for and what is in the extract?

Grape seed extract is made from the seeds of grapes and is used for it’s antioxidant, cancer prevention and cardiovascular protective properties. It can be taken in a tablet or capsule form and is available for purchase in most health food stores. For more information please see the following links:
