Herbal slimming tea - this tea has senna leaves, licorice root, lemon and lime flavors, also green tea. I have experienced some loose bowels, I am diabetic, and heart surgery a year ago. Is this safe for me to take in helping me lose weight? I can’t find anything on senna leaves.

Senna leaves are a well known bowel stimulant and are very likely causing your loose bowels. Senna should not be used long term as the bowels can become dependant on it. As such, once the tea is stopped constipation can be a problem. I suggest you speak with a holistic practitioner for a balance weight loss plan. A laxative tea is not a safe nor effective way to do this. The end result can be other serious health complications from the mineral and vitamin depletion.
