Glutathione Hype

A co-worker is aggressively pushing this "new miracle nutrient" called Maxgxl "The Glutathione Accelerator". She is making claims that a Dr Keller has discovered that this nutrient is the answer to all of our ailments, from migraines to fibromyalgia, and aging.

I tried six weeks supply of it, and did not notice any changes in the way that I felt. Also, I found out that the company behind this product did not stand behind their money back guarantee, but is also a multi-level marketing company. My co-worker goes around acting like she is on an extreme dose of caffeine or something.

I just wanted to know if you knew anything about this glutathione, and if so what you think the benefits are from taking it.

I am sorry but I am not able to comment on a proprietary product.

Glutathione is a strong anti-oxidant and is a key nutrient for proper detoxification in the body. It is not an essential nutrient as it can be made from amino acids we ingest. Foods in the cruciferous family are particularly high in glutathione such as cabbage, broccoli, kale and cauliflower and are beneficial when juiced as part of a juicing detox.
