I am 14 years old living with this disorder, ever since I was born. I was wondering do you have any herbs or plants, seeds whatever it is to get rid of it.

Also I was wondering, do you have herbs to help heal scarred vocal cord tissue. My doctors were trying to remove one of the papillomas off of my vocal cords and ended up scarring my vocals.

I have been talking hoarse ever since I was 9-10 months old. I’m going to high school as a freshman in September and need something quick, safe, and fast.

Laryngeal Papillomatosis is a rare disorder caused by the human papilloma virus. As such treatment should be aimed at treating the virus as well as reducing the scars. Antiviral herbs such as cedar, myrrh, wild indigo, aloe, garlic, and lemon balm could be used along with herbs to help reduce the scarring such as aloe or lavender tea. Herbs that increase the immune system such as echinacea, wild indigo, ganoderma mushrooms and astragalus as also recommended. Gentle demulcent herbs would also be indicated such as slippery elm, marshmallow root and licorice root powders. Persistence and patience is very much needed.

You can try gargling for several minutes with a strong infusion of licorice root, lemon balm and lavender flowers three times daily followed by a tsp. of aloe juice. Be sure to eat plenty of fresh garlic in your diet as well as a healthy diet, avoided refined foods and foods devoid of nutrition. Essential fatty acids such as flax seed oil are also indicated.
