I’m in the process of stopping all my medications, gradually, and replacing them with natural remedies. I want to stop my anti-seizure medicine as well. What is the best natural herb or remedy that I can take to remain seizure-free?

Anti-spasmodic herbs such as cramp bark, lobelia, valerian, wild yam and black cohosh would be indicated. A nervine diet such as one that has a high magnesium, B vitamin and essential fatty acids is also indicated along with the removal of any foods known to cause our digestive and nervous system problems. A general gentle tea that includes nerve tonics such as oat straw, st. john’s wort and chamomile would also help.

Due to the possible risk of having a seizure when you come off the drug, it is best to make these herbal recommendations with the help of a qualified herbal practitioner.
