My question is regarding my daughters health condition. She is 11 and a half years old. At the age of 11 she got her first menstruation. After 2 months of this, she is gets her cycle every 14 or 15 days for a length of 8 or 10 days. She also gets cramps, mood swings and acne. She does not like to eat fish and eat very little meat. When she was a baby she use to suffer from upset stomach and had lose stools. The problem still persists and we have seen many doctors. Doctors cannot understand and say it is normal. She also suffers from stomachache associated with lose stools. She is smart girl and works very well at school and at home too. Lately she has become a little lazy because of twice a month cycle. She feels weakness and dizziness. I gave her black seed and fenugreek seeds in honey for a quite some time, and her stomach got better, but not fully cured. What would you suggst I give her, some Chicory with black seed and fenugreek seeds?

Your daughter might have a food sensitivity. I would look first to wheat and dairy as likely suspects. If someone eats foods that have an inflammatory effect on the body, it can cause problems in other areas of the body besides the digestive systems. An in your daughters case, it is her reproductive system. The other aspect is that she is getting mid cycle bleeding or incomplete cycles. Either way, she is experiencing a hormonal imbalance. Herbs to help with hormonal imbalances are Vitex and Verbena off. being my two favourites. It really does not mater what herbs she tries at this point as they can only be palliative until the offending irritation food(s) are removed thus addressing the root cause of her symptoms. Essential fatty acids such as flax seed oil would be essential for her too right now. Furthermore, if she is experiencing cystic ovaries as part of her mid cycle problem then going to a carbohydrate reduced diet with more good fat such as flax seed oil and more protein would help her greatly in this area as well.

What should be her diet consist of? What kind of things should she avoid?

Yes, most importantly, the question is what to avoid. Again, get rid of the wheat and dairy and see how that helps her. I suspect it will be night and day.
