Great Lobelia

Question from: Patricia Farrell

I see you offer #S3745 "Great Lobelia" (Lobelia syphilitca); is this the same as "giant lobelia?" I don’t have the botannical name of "giant lobelia."

The reference books I was able to consult mention no giant lobelia only the great lobelia. However, common names for the same plant can vary a great deal as you go from area to area. Chances are very good that the two names refer to the same plant, but that the giant lobelia name is just not used in a large enough area to end up in the reference books.

Re: #S4495 Plantain and #S4600 Pokeroot - how tall do they grow and do they require sun or shady position?

Plantain gets about 10 cm tall and 30 cm wide and grows best in full sun. pokeroot grows 1.2 to 3 meters tall and has a spread of 1.2 to 2.5 meters. It will do well in full sun to half shade.
