Canadian ‘Herb of the Year’

Do you know what the 2002 Canadian Herb of the year will be?

As far as we know there is no Canadian ‘Herb of the Year’. In past years the magazine "Herbs at Home" chose the ‘Herb of the Year’ based on a survey of its readers. Herbs at Home suspended publication in the fall of 2001, although the Herbs at Home website suggests that it might resume publication as an Internet-only magazine in the future. To date (Feb. 2002) there has been no indication that the Internet magazine is operating.

The International Herb Association started the ‘Herb of the Year’ promotion. Its selection for the 2002 ‘Herb of the Year’ is echinacea.
