Humulus lupulus 'Sorachi Ace'
Uses: Medicinal/Beverage/Industrial Duration: Perennial (hardy in zones 3-8)
A high alpha variety developed by Sapporo Brewers in 1984. It has a unique hint of lemon and dill combined with excellent bittering characteristics. It is considered a dual purpose hops often used for pale ales. It is a cross between ´Brewers Gold´, ´Saazer OP´, and ´Beikei No. 2´. Alpha acid 10-16%.
