It gets quite tall, up to 2m/6ft high, but then it produces long green tassels that swoop down for a striking tropical effect in the garden. The tassels produce buckets of seeds that can heated and popped like popcorn or ground into flour. The young leaves can be cooked like spinach. 65-70 days.
