  Sowing rate: 1-1.5 kg/ha (direct); 0.5g/1000plants.   Planting: plugs preferred over direct sowing because seeds very small. Sow plugs 8 weeks before spring planting date. Don't allow to go to seed to avoid winterkill. Frequent fertilization with low nitrogen fertilizer is beneficial. Long days trigger flowering. Short lived perennial; some growers treat as annual.   Field spacing: 20-90cm between rows x 10-20cm within rows.   Yield: 300-5000kg/ha (years 1-2).   Pests: spider mite   Diseases: few problems.   Buyers want: minimum 0.4-0.8% parthenolide.
