Show Dog with Low Energy

My dog lacks the energy she was bred for, she’s been to the vet 10 times in the last three weeks and she’s a good show dog and fine producer, what can I do to help her situation? or what can I buy?

Today’s dogs are not the hardy stock of yesteryear. Poor nutrition, lack of exercise, stress, inappropriate breeding, overbreeding, etc have resulted in successively weaker litters which in turn have produced dogs with shorter life spans and increased susceptibility to illness. Some of the aforementioned problems can be recified relatively easily, others will take generations to turn around. The first place to start would be by providing your dog with a good, homemade diet to replenish what has been lost through repeated pregnancies and lactation as well the stress of being in various shows. Please see the work of Richard Pitcairn, "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats", "The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat" by Juliette de Bairacli Levy and "The Barf Diet" by Ian Billinghurst for further information and recipes. In addition, you might want to look at a product known as "Call of the Wild" by Wysong as it was developed to complement raw food diets and enhance digestion and metabolism.
