Can fresh dill be frozen?

Yes, you can freeze it. Freezing is better that drying for dill. Remove the whispy leaves from the stems, after washing and drying in a sald spinner or with paper towel. Chop finely and place in ice cube tray, cover with water and freeze. Remove cubes to freezer bag; label and date. To use, add cubes directly to soups or thaw on paper towel. You can also store the chopped dill in plastic freezer containers. Make sure not to use a container that is too big. Heavy plastic will protect your herbs better.
