What defends against sinus? Beet Root?

Beet root is high in vitamins and minerals including iron, making it an excellent blood tonic. If your sinus problem is sinusitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes in the nasal areas) beet root is a good preventative against colds, fevers, allergies and other infections that can cause excessive mucous secretion and blockage causing infection in those areas. It contains vitamins A, C and E, which are particularly good for prevention of sinusitis.

Garlic is anti-infective. Daily intake in the form of fresh, cooked or pills is a good preventative. Foods rich in Vitamin A are carrots, turnips, spinach, beet greens; fresh fruits and vegetables are high in vitamin C; nuts, seeds, pulses (peas, beans, lentils) and green vegetables are good sources of vitamin E.
