I would like to know of an herb or a combination of herbs to help combat astrocytoma.

Because we are not medical practitioners, we offer the following information for your research only. All treatment should be undertaken in liaison with your doctor.

Astrocytoma is a tumor of the brain and central nervous system that is composed mostly of astrocytes (nervous tissue cells). Symptoms from increased cranial pressure caused by the tumour can include headache, vomiting and swelling of the nerves and blood vessels of the eyes.

I don’t know of a specific herbal remedy for astrocytoma.

Hulda Regehr Clark, in her books "The Cure for All Cancers" and "The Cure for All Diseases" (New Century Press, San Diego, CA, USA, (800) 519-2465) states that all diseases, including cancer, are caused by pollutants and parasites. Her herbal parasite killing program includes Black Walnut Hull tincture, Wormwood capsules and Clove capsules.

Turmeric is reputed to have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and pain killing properties. For more information, see "Turmeric and the Healing Curcuminoids" (available at Richters).

Thomas Bartram, in "Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine" (Grace Publishers, Mulberry Court, Stour Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 1PS, England), states that for the Mohawk Indians, Poke root (Phytolacca decandra) was a "cure" for cancer.

Valerian and Jamaica dogwood (Piscidia erythrina) can help calm any pain.

The diet should include only fresh food, free from chemical additives and fat-free, a large quantity of fresh fruit and vegetables to provide required enzymes, vitamins and minerals and supplemental vitamins C and E as anti-oxidants.
