I am looking for some advice on some medical uses of herbs. I would like to know what can be used for inflammation and an herbal medication for seasonal allergies. If you have any advice or could help me find where I might could get this information, I would be very thankful.

There are many excellent books for herbal reference. A few suggestions are: "The Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants", by Andrew Chevalier (available at Richters) "The Green Pharmacy", by James A. Duke, St. Martin’s Press, 175 Fifth Ave., New York, N.Y. 10010 "The Holistic Herbal", by David Hoffman, Element Inc., 42 Broadway, Rockport, MA, 10966, U.S.A. "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing" by Sigfried Gursche, Alive Publishers, Canada (800)663-6580, or Natural Life Publishing Inc., U.S.A. (800)663-6513

Anti-inflammatory herbs are specific to the condition.

Herbs which are helpful in seasonal allergies are Nettles, which act as an antihistamine, Plantain, which heals the mucous membranes, garlic which is protective against allergies and Sage, which is anti-inflammatory and astringent.
