I am trying to find out what herb will possibly heal and prevent canker sores.

Canker sores, ulceration of the mouth and lips, are often associated with infections elsewhere in the body. Underlying conditions of infections, digestive disorders, stress and dental problems must be treated specifically.

Treatment and prevention of canker sores involves strengthening the immune system with Garlic and Echinacea. Myrrh is a powerful antiseptic especially useful in infections of the mouth. Goldenseal will help to restore the mucous membranes. Slippery elm and yogurt will optimize the digestive system by providing a protective coating and restoring intestinal bacteria necessary for digestion.

These remedies should be taken regularly, three times a day, for a period of 2 weeks. Garlic capsules taken nightly after this time will prevent reinfection.
