Can you recommend an herb or vitamin to offset the symptoms of low blood sugar?

Low blood sugar may be caused by consuming large amount of refined and concentrated sugars, causing the pancreas to be overworked in its job of producing insulin to balance the body’s blood sugar levels, or it may be the result of overworked adrenal glands, a condition which may be caused by stress. Blood tests can help to determine the cause.

Herbs which may be used to raise low blood sugar levels are German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and Dandelion root.

The diet should focus on whole foods and eliminate sugars, alcohol and refined food (for example all food made from white flour). It is important that adequate protein in consumed.
