I am trying to find out what olive leaf extract is good for. My boyfriend has a ear infection and we are trying to do it with herbs. And would like to know if this will help.

Olive leaves are known to have antiseptic, astringent, febrifuge (fever reducing) and tranquilizer properties. We are not aware of a specific use for ear infections, but it is possible that an olive leaf extract might have a beneficial effect on ear infections.

For other options for ear infections you can review answers to similar questions posted on our website at http://www.richters.com/ Please go to the "Q&A" section and search for "ear problem" and separately for "ear infection". Past articles on this subject will come up.

With best wishes,
