Ficin and Hops for Weight Loss?

Recently I received solicitation mail from a company in Norway. They have a product which contains ficin (fig tree extract ) and an extract from hop cones. They claim that by taking 4 capsules a day, 2 in the morning on an empty stomach and two at night you can loose 2 pounds within 24 hrs. Supposedly the natural enzymes from the ficin "eat up the fatty acids" and the hop cone extract rids of hormone related fatty deposits. To the best of you knowledge is there any remote validity to their claims? If you know of any medical websites that may have any legitimate research on the subject it would be appreciated.

No, I don’t know of any validity to these claims. Fig enzymes are beneficial for digestion. We have an item on ficin on the Q&A section of our website www.richters.com , but have no information on its use in weight loss. The statement " Hop cone extract rids of hormone related fatty deposits" is obscure. I don’t know of any such action.
