I use natural breast gain plus for breast enlargement which contains fenugreek 400 mg, fennel seed 350 mg, dong quai 250 mg, blessed thistle 125 mg, dandelion root 125 mg, watercress powder 50 mg, l-tyrosine 50 mg, kelp 50 mg, vitamin E 50 mg. I have a family history of venous insufficiency & I have some spider veins & to be honest I’m afraid if this product will worsen it! I don’t know if this product is safe or not! If it is safe can I use horse chestnut pills with it because I heard that they are good for patients with venous insufficiency?

I can’t say whether your breast enlargement product is safe for you. The purpose of the breast enhancement formulas is to increase estrogen. The use of synthetic estrogen is associated with venous problems like venous thrombosis. Although I doubt that natural estrogens would cause venous problems, there is a potential risk.

Fennel, dong quai and vitamin E can all cause blood thinning. You definitely should not take it if you have any tendency towards bleeding problems. Kelp is rich in iodine, and useful in an underactive thyroid, but harmful in an overactive thyroid. You should not take this product if you are pregnant.

Horse chestnut, one of the best researched herbs, is effective in venous insufficiency (poor return of blood from the feet and legs, including swelling, varicose veins, itching and leg ulcers). It has no negative side effects if taken at a recommended dosage: 200 mg. capsule, three times a day.
