My mother who is 79 years old, is currently suffering with poor blood circulation to her feet and the gout in her toes, she is taking Coumadin and her kidney is not very strong.

For your mother’s poor circulation to her feet, I highly recommend ginger and/or cayenne foot baths. These can be done at least twice daily. To do this you will need a large bowl or other container that both of her feet can sit flat on the bottom of and that is deep enough so that the water can be filled up over her ankles. Then take 1 tablespoon of dried ginger root powder or dried cayenne powder and place in the bottom of container and fill with as hot of water as she can tolerate to have her hands in. It is important for her to use her hands to test the water temperature as she may have some sensory loss in her feet and not realize just how hot the water is and she could get burnt. Have her keep her feet in the water for a minimum of 15 minutes; a little warm water can be added after several minutes if need be to keep the temperature up. This will also help with her gout.
