I am looking for weight loss herbs? I want to use them to make a tea to drink if possible? I have found-- astragalus, nettle leaf in combo with sea wrack, and walnut--black and white. If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it thanks.

However, I would also like to add that in my practice I have a "general" holistic weight loss program that I have successfully used with patients which includes:

1. Increase potassium rich foods - this helps to balance the sodium/ potassium pump thus reducing the excess fluid retention/accumulation - dandelion leaf tea it ideal as are vegetable broths 2. Drink LOTS of mineral rich teas to kick up the various spin offs of the kreb cycle (metabolism pathways) - nettle, horsetail, oatstraw is a great blend - make strong tea and let infuse over night to extract as much minerals as possible 3. Temporarily avoid "damp" and digestion snuffing foods such as wheat and dairy; this gives the digestive system to stokes its fire and improve digestive processing; drinking fresh vegetable juices help here too. 4. Add lots of digestion stimulating and fire stoking spices to diet - ginger, garlic, oregano, thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. - there are lots of herbs that help to facilitate lymphatic stimulation (mineral rich teas are good this way but there are very powerful lymph stimulator’s too); a lot of weight gain is actually metabolic waste retention (due to poor digestion function and assimilation and poor eliminatory routes function); clearing the lymph system helps the body to clear these pathways - gentle exercise and movement is a must whilst doing this. 5. Hot baths whilst drinking hot peripheral circulatory stimulants are also helpful with increasing metabolic waste through the skin instead of having it all be released and taken back to the kidneys and liver/ bowels for elimination is helpful; (note - there are four eliminatory routes in the body - liver/bowels, kidneys, skin and lungs; all need to be clearing as each are responsible for eliminating certain types of metabolic waste; for example liver/bowels - insoluble and fat soluble waste, kidneys- water soluble wastes, lungs - carbon dioxide and other gas based wasted and skin - both fat and water based wastes) 6. Deep breathing helps the lungs to improve elimination
