Is it safe to take ashwagandha with other prescription medicine?? I have a daughter who suffers from severe insomnia due to fibromyalgia. She has tried most sleep meds, but the ones that do work only work for a short amount of time. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Ashwagandha is a tonic herb used by young children to the elderly and is considered to be a safe remedy. As such, it is unlikely that one would experience an adverse reaction. However, if your daughter is on a complex array of meds, then it is best to consult a local herbalist before hand. Having said that, it does sound like your daughter could benefit from such tonic herbs.
