Using Herbs in a Vapourizer

Hi I have a question about making herb energy blends for a vapourizer. I found out that ephedra and sida cordifolia are illegal in America and mixing one of them with guarana or coffee may be lethal. So I did more research. The energy herbs I found are ginseng, guarana, licorice and ginger. Then I found that eucalyptus opens your air passages in the body, and I think mint does the same too. What would you recommend as an energy blend?

For a herb to work in a vapourizer, they need to be herbs that are high in volatile oils, because it is these oils that are evaporated. Coffee, ephedra, ginseng, licorice, etc do not contain much of these oils so would not be effective at all.

Herbs that are high in volatile oils are aromatic herbs - for example most mint family herbs are aromatic. Examples of other aromatic herbs that are also energizing are peppermint, lemon, bergamont, eucalyptus, orange, angelica, neroli, spearmint, wintergreen and rosemary. These are all safe in a vapourizer. Many of these oils are available from Richters; look under Oils in the catalogue.
