Number of Seeds Per Packet

I would like to know the number of seeds in your packets. I have your catalog and have looked it over several times and can find no mention of the number count or approximate number of seeds per packet. This information would indeed be beneficial to me before placing an order. Thank you for you attention to my question.

Generally, we put in 100 seeds and often more than 1000 seeds per packet. This is true for most packets priced $1.75 (U.S.) and less. However, the higher priced packets often have less than 100 seeds.

We don’t specify the seed counts because we find that seed counts are misleading and limiting. Misleading because customers expect 100 plants from a packet of 100 seeds, which will rarely ever happen, especially with herbs; and limiting because seed companies that commit to a certain number of seeds usually reduce their seed counts just to protect themselves from price increases. They may say that their $1.75 packet has 100 seeds which might seem like a lot to gardeners, while we might have 500 seeds in a similarly priced packet. We prefer to pass on the savings when we can manage to get seeds at a lower price than we initially expect.
